About Kalaidos University of Applied Sciences
Kalaidos University of Applied Sciences is one of ten Swiss universities of applied sciences. It is institutionally accredited by the Swiss Accreditation Council, the joint federal and cantonal body for accreditation and quality assurance in the Swiss higher education landscape, in accordance with the Higher Education Funding and Coordination Act (HFKG).

History
The roots of Kalaidos University of Applied Sciences stretch back to 1997. At that time, the KS Kaderschulen St. Gallen and Zurich, together with the Feusi schools in Bern, founded the PHW Private University of Applied Sciences St. Gallen, Zurich, Basel and Bern.
Facts & Figures
The number of students increased significantly last year and stood at over 4,300 as of 31 December 2024. The number of our dedicated lecturers and employees continued to grow, allowing us to continue to ensure practical, high-quality teaching and personal support for our students - our most important value proposition.
Organisation
The needs of our students and the market are at the very centre of Kalaidos University of Applied Sciences. The organisation is aligned with the fourfold performance mandate and is based on the three pillars of teaching, continuing education and services as well as applied research & development.
Quality and higher education development
Kalaidos UAS has set up its own quality management system, the K-QMS, tailored to its needs. It is based on the basic principle of systematic and continuous improvement and includes all performance areas of Kalaidos UAS.
Ombudsman's Office Integrity in Research and Teaching
The Integrity Officers of the Commission for the Preservation of Academic Integrity are the point of contact if there is suspicion of academic misconduct and receive reports of this nature.
Sustainability
As it is understood by Kalaidos UAS, sustainability includes, regulated in the curriculum, the imparting of knowledge about sustainable options for action to the students and all measures through which Kalaidos UAS lives up to its self-image as a long-term oriented organisation that uses human, financial, infrastructural and ecological resources efficiently and thus contributes to the long-term survival and healthy development of the institution.
