Bachelor of Arts in Music with orientation in Classical Music

In this Bachelor's programme with its broad range of subjects and modules, you will not only expand your musical skills, but also lay the bases for a subsequent Master's programme in the field of music pedagogy or music performance.

Admission requirements

Candidates with artistic aptitude and a good knowledge of music theory are invited to take the admission examination. The examination is conducted in accordance with the Admission Examination Guidelines.

As a rule, applicants must have a Matura degree.

Students whose first or educational language is not German (university entrance or studies in this language) must have a B2 language diploma. A language exam can also be taken at the beginning of studies at the Kalaidos University of Music. Soon we will offer our programmes in English.

The program is held in German.

Admission requirements

  • Federal Vocational Baccalaureate, Specialised Baccalaureate, general baccalaureate or qualification from a professional education institution (PEI) or upper-secondary level
  • A music entrance exam must be passed
  • Applicants who do not meet the specified admission requirements may still be admitted if they possess exceptional artistic talent and successfully pass the music entrance exam
