Admission to continuing education programmes
Candidates with the following educational background and experience are eligible for admission to a continuing education programme:
- A degree from an accredited Swiss or foreign university, university of applied sciences or university of education and sufficient professional experience in a field relevant to the education programme.
or - Without a university degree, especially with a degree in higher vocational education1 and with sufficient professional experience in a field relevant to the education programme. Admission may be subject to certain conditions, which must be fulfilled either before or during the programme, but in any case before its completion. This applies in particular where scientific knowledge² is inadequate.

Extraordinary admission
The director of the Careum School of Health is eligible to grant admission to continuing education programmes based on a “sur dossier assessment”. Admission may be subject to certain conditions which must be fulfilled either before or during the programme, but in any case before its completion.

Transfer of credits for completed study
To transfer credits from another university in the form of ECTS points (subject to a fee), contact the programme director of your preferred degree or continuing education programme and provide us with your performance record and the confirmation of exmatriculation from the university in question. For potential transfers of credits to be considered, an application for dispensation must be submitted before the start of the study.
