As of February 2020, the Kalaidos University of Music has established an advisory board to provide advice on matters of content, marketing and pedagogical and artistic objectives.
Kalaidos University of Music establishes advisory board
This advisory board works on an honorary basis and will be composed of two well-known personalities from each of the following areas:
- Intendance
- Economy
- Performance
- Pedagogy
Kalaidos University of Music was able to recruit Michael Haefliger, Lucerne Festival, and Ilona Schmiel, Tonhalle Zurich, for the artistic direction; François Loeb, former National Councillor, former owner of the Loeb department stores' and successful author, and Patrik Suter, managing director of the Zurich Youth Housing Network and former managing director of a large Swiss foundation, for the economy; Dirk Peppel, professor of flute at the Cologne and Rostock conservatories, for education; and the Swiss pianist and university lecturer Oliver Schnyder for the performance area. Jasmin Solfaghari, a freelance director, university lecturer, author and coach, also represents the area of performance, as does Pierig Escher, Artist Management Consultant at IGM Artists.
The advisory board does not have to act in its entirety, but can be contacted by the university in its individual areas, depending on the topic at hand.
