Study Week in China: Exploring innovation and business potential in China's fast-evolving economy!

Program Overview

The program begins in Shanghai and continues through Hangzhou and Suzhou, three key cities representing the diversity and dynamism of China’s innovation landscape. Participants will explore a curated selection of top-tier companies, research institutions and tech hubs that exemplify China's approach to growth, digitalization and entrepreneurship.

Interactive sessions, site tours and local engagements will provide valuable perspectives on how Chinese enterprises scale innovation and adapt to global market forces. The program is designed to foster critical thinking and comparative analysis around the central question: How do Chinese companies drive innovation and economic success in today’s global landscape?

• Business Opportunities in a Changing China: Learning from successful Chinese business leaders and entrepreneurs with visits to companies featuring Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, E-Mobility, E-Commerce, Biotechnology and Renewable Energy.
• Visits to Key Innovation Hubs: Exploring Suzhou Industrial Park, Hangzhou Artificial Intelligence Town and Swissnex Shanghai.
• University Collaborations: Engaging with professors and students at Shanghai University.
• Cultural Immersion: Discovering landmarks and modern urban developments in Shanghai, Hangzhou and Suzhou.

Dates, Registration Deadline and Fees

Study Week October 2025:

• October 26 – October 31, 2025 (latest arrival in Shanghai: Sunday morning, October 26, 2025. Earliest departure: Sunday, November 1, 2025)
• Registration deadline: July 31, 2025.
• Please provide personal travel insurance since cancellations will not be possible once your participation is confirmed.
• Fee study trip: CHF 2’650.- for Kalaidos “MPK” students, CHF 2’950.- for other participants (e.g. Kalaidos alumni etc.)
• The study trip fee includes hotel accommodation (October 26 – November 1, 2025), local transportation and meals.
• All participants are responsible for organizing, booking and paying for their own intercontinental flight, travel insurance, visa arrangements (where required) etc.

Participants

Students in Kalaidos Bachelor or Master programs as well as other participants with at least 3 years of professional experience can take part in this study trip. Good English communication skills are required.
