MBA FH in Digital Finance

Digitalisation is changing the world of finance and banking as well as of all industries in general. This joint degree between Kalaidos University of Applied Sciences and Saint-Petersburg State University of Economics (UNECON) provides the core instruments to successfully cope with these changes and to build up a successful career in the world of digital finance in their respective home countries of the students.

Digitalization is changing the business models of all financial intermediaries based on the changing needs of customers and the new technological possibilities. From the customer interface with the relevant touchpoints to product design, this will affect all areas of value creation in the front, back and middle office. The „MBA FH in Digital Finance“ provides the necessary skills and knowledge to successfully implement digitalization strategies and projects in a sustainable manner. An interdisciplinary group of professionals from banks, insurance companies, fintech and IT companies with experience in digital finance and change management provides the foundations for new success models, best practices and transformation know-how for the sustainable successful implementation of the digital transformation.

Professor of the Department of Banking, Financial Markets and Insurance of UNECON. Director of International center for financial markets research, Director of Russian-German center of UNECON, scientific advisor of master program “Banks and Assets management”. Scholar of DAAD and the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation. President of Association of Alumni of the Federal Chancellor program in Russian Federation (Alexander von Humboldt Foundation), Co-author of books on banking, insurance, financial markets and financial and credit institutions. Research interests: financial risk management, portfolio investment, financial and credit institutions. Tatjana Nikitina is a Guest Lecturer at Goethe Univerität, Frankfurt (Germany), Friedrich Alexander Universität Nürnberg – Erlangen (Germany), Kalaidos University, Zurich (Switzerland).

Prof. Dr. Bernhard Koye, PhD

Prof. Dr. Bernhard Koye

Professor for Financial Intermediation and Director of the Swiss Institute for Financial Training at Kalaidos University. His PhD was one of the first publications on the effects of digitalization on Business Models in the 21st century. Co-author of various books and research papers on the consequences of Information age on different aspects of Financial Intermediation and business models in the Finance Industry. is a pioneer in analyzing the impact of digitalization on business models in the financial industry. His dissertation was u.a. recommended by the NZZ. Research at the Swiss Institute for Financial Education (SIF) at Kalaidos University, which he leads, examines practically relevant aspects of the future viability of banks. His practical experience includes u.a. Experience as Key Position Holder of a major bank in the area of Market Strategy & Development (Strategy, Design Thinking), as Strategy and Transformation Consultant, etc. on major projects with listed companies, as a management coach, as a coach in top-class sport and not least as a client advisor to a bank at the beginning of his professional career. Bernhard Koye is a Guest Lecturer at Saint Petersburg State University of Economics (Russia) and University of Zurich (Switzerland).

Methodology and place of study

30% of the study time takes place in the form of classroom instruction . The remaining 70% consist of individual practical projects, group work and self-study. The on-site events will be held at UNECON in St. Petersburg and on the campus of the Kalaidos University in Zurich. The participants are invited to process preparation and transfer orders. By integrating face-to-face lessons with self-study, written work and individual practice projects, it is possible to experience a sustainable transfer of knowledge and, at the same time, to put what you have learned into practice from the beginning of the study.
