Certificate of Advanced Studies FH General Management (in English)


A solid foundation in general management and business administration is essential for an effective and efficient manager. Successful management depends on decisions that are based on a good understanding of the interplay of all factors involved in business processes.

 

Objective

 

This two-semester course provides participants with a well balanced generalist introduction to the key subject areas of business and management. Apart from a good balance between hard and soft business skills acquired during the course, interpersonal skills such as leadership and effective communication and presentation as well as self-management, emotional intelligence and teamwork are emphasized.

 

  • All seminars and workshops have a strong practical business focus.
  • Successful graduates profit from an increase in management confidence as well as from the acquisition of a set of tools to deal with business problems.
  • This course qualifies them for more advanced business degree programs.

Admission Requirements
Candidates have

 

  • at least a bachelor level or equivalent university degree without business focus
  • or a higher Swiss national diploma with business focus
  • at least two years of business experience since attainment of highest previous degree
  • an officially recognized English certificate on European level B2 or have successfully passed the free Kalaidos English admission test
